The human psyche primarily rewards attention to fear rather than hope. The more educated you are, or should I say the more intelligent you are, the more likely you are to fall on hope.
In which case, most religious texts have embedded both fear and hope for those who can see.
The recent artificial intelligence that has entered our daily lives has created fear and mental derangement in most, if not all, humans on the planet. Not even the AI companies themselves have any clue as to where the world is headed.
It's turned some into headless chickens running amok, and AI slop ruling all their pages.
For others it's turned attention inward, with a real focus on leverage times (x) the amount of intelligence one already has, reflecting on time, reality, longevity and its relation to death. Money, and its soundness and fairness in the system as a whole. Or perhaps what's actually worthwhile pursuing anymore.
Are we entering hell? Maybe a question for the former person.
But for the latter, this question was more like, what should the future look like? And if nobody knows, let's turn our face towards the sun.
@80eight, the team imagined the classic paper money turned towards the sun to verify its authenticity through a watermark.
That watermark was usually Mandela (South Africa) - a symbol that verification should also mean freedom.
This was the North Star.
However, getting there has been a hard task, building products and buying into something both traditional and novel enough for people to understand, without stretching the imagination too far.
Depending on where you look, it's the best and worst time in history.
